The American Cancer Society Discovery
Shop near Kenwood is seeking volunteers. The American Cancer Society
Discovery Shops are upscale retailers selling used furniture and
clothing to help raise money to fight cancer. Volunteers are needed at
the register, greeting customers, setting up items in the store, and
soliciting donations. The American Cancer Society Discovery Shop is

Volunteers
The Brighton Center in Newport is looking for
volunteers age 55 and older as part of the Center’s Retired and Senior
Volunteer Porgram of Northern Kentucky. Opportunities exist with
tutoring children, mentoring youth, transporting medical patients,
helping at a museum, cooking at a soup kitchen, or telephoning shut-ins.

Oxford-College
Corner Clinic
The Oxford-College Corner clinic is now open. The
clinic treats residents of Preble and Butler Counties in Ohio, and Union
Co. in Indiana, who have little or no health insurance coverage. The
clinic has 2 locations: in Oxford at 5151 Morning Sun Rd. Ste. D, in the
McCullough-Hyde Physical Therapy Building, the first Wednesday of each
month from 6-8PM; and in College Corner at 230 Ramsey St. in the College
Corner School building, the third Wednesday of the month from 6-8PM.
Paired Kidney Donation Consortium
The Paired Kidney Donation Consortium allows people who need kidneys to
trade donors to find a match. The program can cut the waiting time for a
kidney from 5 years down to just a few months. Greater Cincinnati is
part of the largest of 2 paired kidney donation organizations in the
country, with partner programs in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois,
Michigan, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York and Maryland.
Local hospitals that do kidney transplants are the University of
Cincinnati, Christ Hospital, Cincinnati Children's Medical Center, and
in Kentucky, the University of Kentucky. For more information, call

still dealing with the after-effects of the storm. If you or someone you

Paul. St. Vincent de Paul is a not-for-profit agency still receiving
